How Age Is Calculated Between Two Dates
The calculator uses the most common age system, where a person's age goes up by one on their birthday. It first subtracts the birth year from the second year, then compares the months and days. If the day of the second date is smaller than the birth day, one month is taken away and the days of the birth month are added back, so every month length and leap year is handled correctly. The total days are counted from the exact calendar difference, and hours, minutes and seconds are worked out from that number.
